Inspired by the gemheart hunt in Brandon Sanderson's "The Way of Kings". If you like fantasy, I highly recommend it. Very original and well written book. Can't wait for the next one :D

Not quite how I thought of a Chasmfiend, but a good way to look at them. I thought of them as more of hermit-crab looking things, but this works just as well :)

Awesome scene! And Sevault, good lifting posture just makes it accurate considering the size of the Fiend and also, Nephew not Son.

No offense, but that cape is too odd for me. It doesn't have the power that it did in toe book. When I was reading this, it was an insanely dramatic moment where Blackthorn uses his expertise to protect his son from the claw of the chasmfiend. While almost everything in this picture does it justice, his pose is less "RRRAAAAUGH" and more "Hup-ho, heave-ho, woo-hoo"
